Great hotpot with a wide selection of ingredients and flavourful broths. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared, and the ordering process is straightforward. Good portions and a satisfying experience overall — a solid choice for hotpot in Melbourne.

While the quality of the ingredients was undeniably high, the portion sizes felt a little small for the price point. Given the premium cost, we were expecting slightly more generous servings, especially for the meats. It didn’t take away from the overall experience, but it did leave us feeling that the value could be improved.

After narrowing down the many local options, we settled on David’s Hot Pot and were rewarded with a fantastic experience. Despite a minimal team on the floor, the service was impressively fast and efficient, though the tables were a bit on the smaller side for a family of four. The hot pot itself was unique and the broth was incredibly flavorful, though be prepared for a "mission" picking through the heavy amount of chilies! While the menu has fewer frozen options than other spots, every ingredient from the meat to the vegetables was exceptionally fresh and delicious. The condiment station is a bit pricey at $6 per person, and features some adventurous items like chicken feet, but the sauces are high quality and well worth it. We paid roughly $200 for two adults and two kids including drinks, making it a satisfying, high quality meal that we’d definitely recommend.
