If I could give Origami ten stars, I would. This isn't just a takeaway; it's a regular destination for joy, delivered right to my door. From the very first bite, Origami established itself as the gold standard for Japanese food in the area.
Let’s start with the obvious: everything on the menu is amazing. There is no weak link. Each dish is crafted with such care, freshness, and balance of flavour that choosing what to order is the only difficult part of the experience.
Their sushi rolls are nothing short of spectacular. The rice is always perfectly seasoned and tender, the fish is incredibly fresh—never fishy, always silky—and the combinations are both classic and inventive. Whether it's a simple but flawless salmon avocado roll or one of their speciality maki, the texture and taste are consistently outstanding. You can truly taste the quality in every piece.
And then there are the rice bowls (donburi). Oh, the rice bowls! A generous bed of warm, fluffy rice topped with vibrant, beautifully cooked ingredients. The teriyaki bowls are glazed to sweet-savoury perfection, and their katsu is so crispy it somehow survives the delivery journey flawlessly. Each bowl is a complete, satisfying meal that feels nourishing and indulgent at the same time.
Beyond the food, the service is always prompt and friendly, and the packaging is neat and thoughtful. Everything arrives looking just as appetizing as it does on the menu.
