Yesterday we happened to walk into YULONGFU SEAFOOD, and it turned out to be a wonderful discovery.
The modern interior, soft background music and warm, attentive service made it easy to relax and enjoy a cup of jasmine green tea.
When we tried the Xiao Long Bao Pork dumplings, we were genuinely impressed by how delicate and fresh they were — beautifully soft, full of flavour and almost melting in the mouth. I couldn’t help but compliment the dish.
We were told that the dumplings are handmade by an auntie who has been part of this family-run restaurant for over 40 years. The Xiao Long Bao recipes have been passed down through the family since 1904, and folding 16 pleats is considered an important part of the tradition.
We also learned that the crab and truffle Xiao Long Bao are the restaurant’s signature dish, with many people coming specifically for their delicate aroma and texture that truly exceed expectations.
One of the highlights is being able to watch the dumplings being made right in front of you. The main kitchen is located downstairs, and the finished dishes are sent upstairs by lift.
The menu is very extensive, and we will definitely be coming back — we’re confident it will be just as delicious next time.
