Had a really lovely yumcha experience at Bright Palace in Docklands. We tried a mix of steamed and baked dishes and everything came out fresh. My favourites were the Zaa3 Loeng2 (chee cheong fun with 油炸鬼) and the liu sha bao, which had the perfect runny salted egg centre. Prices are reasonable for Melbourne yumcha, with dishes ranging from around $9.80 to the high teens depending on size and specialty. Overall, a really enjoyable spot for yumcha in Melbourne; would happily return for another family weekend lunch 🥟🥢

Had a great meal at Bright Palace! The half-price roast duck promo is unbelievable — just forty-something dollars and it even comes with a super fragrant duck shredded fried noodle. The duck is cut in big pieces, skin crispy and meat flavourful.

Amazing Cantonese dining in Docklands! The eggplant pot, roast pork, and white-cut chicken were packed with flavor and freshness. The roast duck and noodles were perfection. Attentive service, bright modern space, and authentic tastes make this spot a must-visit. Can’t wait to try their black garlic eel next!

🥟✨ Yum cha lovers! This one is for you! There’s something so nostalgic about yum cha trolleys rolling through the room. It instantly takes me back to uni days, hanging out with friends and bonding over food. The thrill of spotting the next trolley and peeking at what’s coming, pure bliss. The food here is so fresh and tasty! The staff was friendly and attentive. What more could you ask for? It’s a fantastic new addition to the growing food scene in Docklands.

The dumplings were awesome especially the prawn and scallop dumplings, you know it’s perfectly done when the skin does not stick to the bamboo or break easily. They have different unique flavours like black truffle dumplings, black truffle siu mai, many colourful desserts for the kids like rainbow jelly, coconut jelly, sweet bean curd, even food that are pear and carrot shaped. They have the usual fried foods like football dumpling 鹹水角,芋角taro dumpling, prawn springroll, careful though as the bill adds up so quickly before you know it 😆 The customer service was excellent, there are a million waiters and waitresses that go around to change your plate and ensure your table does’nt have any empty plates or bamboo steamers, even boiled water is constantly poured into your teapot to make sure you always have a full teapot of tea. Would definitely go back and check out the other flavours and variety. Matcha salted egg yolk was interesting, it’s a matcha pineapple bun outside and inside is this lava custardy like salted egg yolk.
